The Curriculum and Instruction Department organizes and facilitates professional development opportunities for teachers and staff. These sessions provide educators with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively implement various curriculum and instructional strategies. 

The district’s vision & mission statements, district goals (Improving Student Achievement, Wellness & Safety, and Communication & Collaboration), staff input, student achievement data, building school improvement plans, and information from stakeholders provide the rationale for the staff development needs of the district. Staff development activities are developed and implemented to facilitate the attainment of these goals.
