Dr. Scott Cooper is a dedicated educational leader with 25 years of experience in fostering

student success, driving instructional innovation, and building strong community partnerships.

His career spans a wide range of roles, including classroom teacher, special education teacher,

dean of students, principal, Career and Technical Education (CTE) director, assistant

superintendent, and superintendent. From teaching in a remote two-room schoolhouse to leading

the largest school district on Colorado’s Western Slope, Dr. Cooper has consistently championed

educational excellence and equitable opportunities for all students.

Passionate about rural education and student-centered success, Dr. Cooper’s mission is to innovate

and expand CTE pathways, promote educational equity, and foster strong community connections.
