Assessments

Teachers and parents use test scores to gauge a student's academic strengths and areas of growth. Communities rely on these scores to measure the quality of their educational system.  State and federal educational systems use these same assessment results to determine whether public schools are meeting proficiency. Testing provides us with a snapshot of our students' learning and represents our district's  commitment to high academic standards and school accountability.

The purpose of the Sweetwater County School District #2 assessment system is to monitor student and program progress in order to improve instruction and therefore improve student learning.
