English Learner Education
Sweetwater County School District #2 is committed to providing educational opportunities for ALL students. Therefore, an English Language Acquisition Program for students who are English Language Learners has been established and maintained to enhance their academic and social success.
Sweetwater County School District #2 will meet the needs of English Language Learners by providing appropriate and necessary language instruction. The priorities for this instruction will be for the English Language Learners to use English to communicate in social settings, to use English to achieve academically in all National and Wyoming standards areas, and to use English in socially and culturally appropriate ways.
PROGRAM GOAL
Sweetwater County School District #2 will meet the needs of English Language Learners by providing appropriate and necessary language instruction so that students will acquire the language communication skills to meet the state and district standards and succeed socially in a general education environment.
