The Notice of Procedural Safeguards brochure explains rights available to a parent or child under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004. As a parent of a child with a disability, you have certain rights under federal and state law. One of those rights is to be informed, in writing, and in your native language, or other mode of communication that you may use, of the procedural safeguards available to you.
