Dear Green River Parents and Families,
As we approach the end of another successful school year, I want to provide you with a transparent update regarding our budget
for the 2026-2027 school year. While our mission remains providing a world-class education for every student, recent changes at
the state level are requiring us to make some difficult strategic adjustments.
The New Funding Reality: "Silos" and Challenges
This past spring, the Wyoming State Legislature completed a "recalibration" of the school funding model (SF081). While we are
grateful for the long-overdue support provided to our educators, the new law creates a rigid framework that limits how we can
spend local dollars.
